On Monday, the 7th December 2015, Michael Errington attended the fabulous concert of Mozart and Bruckner at the Berliner Philharmonie conducted by Bernard Haitink.
Afterwards Michael Errington and Bernard Haitink were talking about the concert that took place at the 9th of august in 1975 in London, the day Dmitri Shostakovich died in Moscow. In his teens, Michael Errington attended that concert in 1975 in London and learnd about the death of Shostakovich, because Haitink changed the programm to play Shostakovich’s 5th Symphony after the interval.
